The Wedding Singer
In 2001, Şahnaz, a young jazz singer who moved from Ankara to Istanbul, dreams of performing on grand stages alongside her guitarist friend, Ulaş. After being discovered by the venue owner, Muzaffer, she becomes the resident vocalist at the Urban Jazz Bar. However, the changes the country undergoes over the years—marked by personal losses, economic crises, and the pandemic—shake both her life and her dreams. When the bar is converted into a wedding venue, she leaves everything behind. Upon eventually returning, Şahnaz discovers that what she initially perceived as a defeat is, in fact, a new beginning; she realizes that wedding venues, too, can serve as authentic stages where people share their joys, sorrows, and hopes.
