Marc Carbonneau

Marc Carbonneau

Marc G. Carbonneau is a director for whom storytelling has always been a way of looking at the world, understanding it and questioning it. Since starting out as an editor and director in 1995, he has developed an approach in which staging, pacing and directing actors are closely intertwined. This constant drive to push himself has led him to direct two feature-length documentaries, three fiction short films and dozens of television programs. His work has earned him more than fifteen Gémeaux Award nominations, including two wins. In 2017, Marc G. Carbonneau chose to devote himself entirely to fiction. His short film Florian et Ève won the Équinoxe Printanier competition and a grant from Telefilm Canada and Studio Sam. He then worked on Scooby-Doo and the Lost City of Gold for Monlove and Warner Bros., before joining the directing team of Indéfendable, TVA's hit daily drama, for which he has directed more than 200 episodes. His work now focuses on writing and directing stories where tension, character and social issues meet, driven by the same ambition: to tell stories that leave a lasting mark.
